Trailer Towing Course

Professional Driver Training Scotland offers customers a unique and relevant B+E training insight, safe in the knowledge that they will be fully equipped to safely drive and manoeuvre any type of trailer being towed, For those in Scotland looking to become proficient in caravan towing and horse box towing, my lessons offer an ideal solution. Having conducted over 17,000 tests in 15 years, I am in a unique position to give trainees the best insight into what is required to drive and manoeuvre your trailer on todays road and traffic conditions, for commercial, caravan, and horse box towing.

Before joining DVSA as an examiner, I had 10 years as a fully-qualified Approved Driving Instructor (ADI). Therefore, I have substantial experience making candidates comfortable, confident, and relaxed when driving. At Professional Driver Training Scotland, I provide a vehicle and trailer, well-suited to the task and requirements specified by DVSA for all trailer, caravan, and horse box towing.

We offer a range of courses tailored to suit our students’ requirements. From the 1-day (5 hour) course for students with experience, to our 3-day (10 hour) course for complete beginners. All of our courses can be tailored to what might suit you, visit Courses & Prices. Let us know what your ambitions are – from towing caravans and horse boxes to commercial licensing – and we’ll work out the best training suited to you.

I’m a B+E Car and Trailer Instructor with 15 years’ experience as an examiner with the DVSA, covering car (B) B+E and all LGV categories. I then moved to bring that experience to training customers wishing to pass their B+E test. I have vast experience in both instructing and examining, and switching between the two roles is something I have a great understanding of. I’m proud to be able to impart my expert knowledge to my students, giving them the best coaching and teaching in preparation for their test.

Having been both an examiner and an instructor for 25 years, students can be confident there’ll be no unexpected surprises on the roads.

Get in touch with me to check availability today, and you’ll be confident in your ability in no time to drive category (B) car, tow trailers, caravans, and horse boxes.
